One of the examples is that of location based services (LBS) and advertising. The wireless applications we are developing take their place in all parts of a person’s social life. At that point, creativity and trendsetting point out the landmarks of the possibilities offered by LBS.
Just imagine what this can mean for advertising concepts.

MTF ‘07 also allows you to network with researchers, government leaders, industry leaders, and other professionals. You also have the possibility to attend various break-out sessions.

Real life City Experience
Mapping The Fundamentals’07 takes you on a personal City Experience in the first of our two living lab cities. You get to experience today’s services on a guided tour in the city of Hasselt.
Even better, you will meet users who share their experiences.

Many applications have been and are being tested at i-City. But to quickly set up and deploy new applications, we needed a platform to support all this. So we just built it: our City Services Platform.

i-City’s City Services Platform has been nominated “Best Technology Foresight” at the 2006 World Communications Awards, which recognizes the companies and individuals responsible for the innovations, achievements and great new services that are helping to build tomorrows industry.
